Secondary teachers involved in the delivery of PSHE

The course aims to help staff who are being asked to deliver PSHE & SRE in school to become more confident in their knowledge and skills to do so.

Course Outline
• What is SRE?
• Why should we teach SRE?
• Attitudes & Values
• Sex & the law
• How to teach around areas such as HIV, relationships, “Delay”.
• Opportunities to look at resources available

Learning Outcomes
By the end of the day participants will have had the opportunity to consider:
• The role of SRE in the curriculum
• The challenges they face as educators
• The skills needed to face those challenges
