Emotional Health and Wellbeing in PSHE


Target Audience
Anyone involved in the delivery, co-ordination or support of PSHE.

Overview
The course will aim to define emotional health and well-being and will cover a broad range of issues such as self awareness, managing stress, bullying and rights and responsibilities.

Opportunities will be given to look at how the school curriculum and setting can provide an environment that promotes positive emotional health and well-being.

Time will be made available to share good practice and for personal reflection. Resources and examples of support services will also be available to view.

Course Outline
The course will cover the following areas:
 What do we mean by Emotional Health and Well-being?
 Recognising how we can improve our own EHWB
 How emotionally healthy is your school? Audit tool activity
 Activities to use in school to support:


    o Self Awareness
o Managing Stress
o Anti -Bullying
o Rights and Responsibilities
 
 

 How does EHWB support Every Child Matters and Health Promoting Schools?

Learning Outcomes
By the end of the course it is hoped that participants will have considered the place of emotional health and well being in school and will feel better able to deliver aspects of this within the curriculum
