Derbyshire Health Promoting SchoolsThe Derbyshire Healthy Schools Programme is now a countywide team - planning and working together, based in two main offices, one in Belper and one in Chesterfield.The co-ordinator currently manages a team of 15 (full and part-time workers) including specialist Sex and Relationship Education advisers and Primary Drug Education advisers. It is a multi agency team with members employed by both Derbyshire County Council and Derbyshire County Primary Care Trust. We also work closely with the school community nursing teams and currently emply a school nurse from North Derbyshire employed to work with us to build up this relationship, improve communication and raise the profile of the role of school community nurses within healthy schools.
