OverviewStand up for us- Challenging Homophobia in Schools (DfES 2004) asks the question:
What are the benefits to schools of tackling homophobic bullying?

This course helps to create an understanding of homophobic culture in our schools and how to challenge it.
Course ContentsParticipants will have the opportunity to:
• gain an understanding of the importance of a whole school approach• explore their own awareness and attitudes• look at the true levels of homophobic name calling in Derbyshire’s secondary schools• examine practical strategies• identify appropriate resources to support the curriculum.
