Venues  Information

When booking venues for countywide Healthy Schools events including training courses we try to ensure that we use venues that are central to the county but are also comfortable and relaxed. We also try to use venues that are economic and contribute to the programme’s prudent use of public funds. The following venues are the ones we use the most frequently.

Cromford Mill Conference Centre

Cromford Mill Conference Centre is situated within the Derwent Valley Mills World Heritage Site.  The Centre provides a variety of meeting rooms in the canal side Gothic Warehouse building and within the main mill site in the University of Derby Suite.  The University of Derby Suite site is situated on the first and second floor of Building 17, an original Arkwright warehouse within the main mill complex.  There are three large function rooms, Derwent, Winster and Riber plus two smaller rooms Ible and Lea.

Parking at the centre is plentiful and easy to access.
