Training with Midday Supervisors For Happy, Healthy Lunchtimes
The session also looks at ways of improving communication within school, giving practical examples of how the whole school staff can work together to improve lunchtimes. The training is broken up with practical examples of circle games and brain gym exercises that can be helpful in the role of the Midday Supervisor and ideas and techniques to help with gaining children’s attention in a positive way. The team members delivering the training arrange a meeting with the Headteacher following on from delivery to feedback any issues and ideas for improvement of lunchtimes.
The Midday Supervisors are awarded a certificate from Health Promoting Schools on completion of the training.The photographs show clips from the first training session with the Midday Supervisors at St Thomas Catholic Primary School, Ilkeston.
