Who is it for?

This section if for anyone working in a school or school governors, who would like to know more about Healthy Schools in Derbyshire.  Healthy Schools Co-ordinators (the named member of staff who manages the programme in school) and Personal, Social and Health Education Co-ordinators will find the more in depth information the most useful.

About Derbyshire Healthy Schools
Find out about the National Healthy Schools Status (NHHS) and how your school can participate.

Core Themes
The NHHS is divided into 4 core themes; Personal, Social and Health Education, Healthy Eating, Physical Activity and Emotional Health and Wellbeing.  In each core theme information on the standards and outcomes to achieve NHSS are provided. You will also be able to find useful national and local guidance documents alongside other related information within each core theme. 

Policies
Guidance for developing your own school policies, including those required to be a Healthy School.

Case Studies
Look at what Derbyshire schools and the Healthy Schools team have been doing to promote health and well-being in the whole school community.  You may also wish to share and celebrate your schools projects or practice, submit a case study.
